Foster Family Spotlight: Adrienne Myles
It's Foster Family Appreciation Week!
This week, we celebrate the incredible individuals who open their hearts and homes to children in need. Today, we’re highlighting the remarkable Ms. Myles, a recently licensed foster caregiver whose dedication and love for children is truly inspiring.
At over 60 years young, Ms. Myles is energetic, compassionate, and determined to make a difference. Having raised 13 grandchildren, her experience and heart for caregiving have prepared her to foster children. Despite challenges, Ms. Myles remains steadfast. Recently, she cared for a child with difficult behaviors, yet her unwavering response to him was, “I still love you no matter what.” Her compassion and love for the child never wavered and she continues to open her home with resilience and readiness to support other children in need.
When asked what inspired her to foster, she shared:
“I enjoy being around children—listening to their laughter, watching them grow into their own personalities. Knowing I can love them, support them, and make them feel important is what drives me. Children are a gift from God. Trauma is not something they’re born into; it’s something that happens to them. That’s why I became a foster parent.”
Ms. Myles, your dedication, love, and wisdom inspire us all. Thank you for being a beacon of hope and love for children who need it most.
